The 2010 / 2011, or 28th, SES season will be kicking off on Wednesday 29th September with a presentation by Eddie Pearson of Victaulic. At this time we plan to continue our meetings at the Holiday Inn Central Park in Manchester. Further details are below.
The Sprinkler Engineers Society is a society for individuals from any fire related industry/company, it provides many unique opportunities to become more aware of products, issues, new developments in legislation, compliances, and technology.
It provides a forum for views and opinions and for informal conversation with suppliers, insurers, and fire protection contractors.
THE SOCIETY
We are here to provide a platform for sprinkler engineers to discuss aspects of sprinkler engineering design and the interchange of ideas, information and developments in the fire engineering world. We arrange speakers from the industry and associated industries, to promote discussion at the monthly meetings.
SPRINKLER STOPS
We want to hear from anybody who has information relating to a situation in which a Fire Sprinkler system has either controlled or extinguished a fire. Please find forms on the website that can be completed and returned to the society.
MONTHLY MEETINGS
The Sprinkler Engineers Society meetings are held on the last Wednesday of every month (with the exception of June, July, August and December). The meetings are a platform for technical speakers and the occasional open forum. The entry fee is £5 per meeting, or £25 for a full year's attendance. We are currently holding our meetings at the Holiday Inn Central Park in Manchester and these start at 7pm. There is normally a buffet meal available, and things generally come to an close by 8.30pm.
